The episode 7 ended with the death of Sammy's gay friend. To seek the revenge of the same, it was shown that the teenager has set out to fund a growing rebel group. In the episode 8, it turns out that Sammy is not aware that the rebel group, known as Khalil, is run by his father in disguise.

On the other hand, when Barry was informed that a rich teenager is interested in funding their organization, he sent out men to find the further details. Meanwhile, Barry under the name of his group Khalil, reaches out to Rami, who is aware of the growing organization and struck a deal with him.

Leila (Moran Atias) informs her daughter-in-law Nusrat (Sibylla Deen), who had just lost a child through miscarriage, that she has to divorce her son Ahmed who is next in line of leadership as she could not conceive again. Nusrat, who was earlier herself pushing for divorce, does not seem to be too happy with the announcement.

Rami is confronted by angry Jamal, who is furious that he has reached out to Khalil without his prior permission. In fact, Jamal further suspects Rami with some foul play due to his recent move.

Sammy finally comes face to face with his presumed dead father as the leader of the rebel group and is left disappointed that Barry chose to keep him in the dark about his whereabouts until now. Sammy takes a pledge from Barry who in turn promises to get in touch with Molly (Jennifer Finnigan) who considers herself as his widow
