"Orange is the New Black" season 4 could potentially see the return of Natasha Lyonne's character Nicky Nichols and Matt McGorry's John Bennett. It was also confirmed that Laura Prepon's character Alex is alive.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lyonne hinted on the possibility that Nicky will be back in season 4. According to her, season three's events made an impact on Nicky's life and things could change for her from here on out.
When asked whether or not her character would indeed be back, Lyonne said that she cannot comment about it just yet.
Meanwhile, McGorry recently spoke with Yahoo! to dish on Bennett's fate in season 4. Last season, Bennett disappeared without any explanation and his fans are wondering whether or not the actor has already been axed from the hit Netflix series.
During his interview, McGorry said that his possible return next season will only happen if the writers of "Orange is the New Black" believe that Bennett deserves to have a storyline. This suggests that if the writers decide not to write a story about him, Bennett may completely be bypassed from the series.
Fans of McGorry may still see the actor on the ABC series "How to Get Away With Murder."
In other news, Prepon recently confirmed that her character is still alive and will be back next season. Just recently, the actress shared a photo herself while wearing her inmate uniform via Instagram.
"Orange is the New Black" season 4 will premiere on Netflix in June 2016.
