Microsoft confirmed the leaks authenticity through a message posted on GameSpot saying, "It's unfortunate when work-in-progress content leaks, but this Halo 5: Guardians content is part of our ongoing private, external testing for multiplayer. We will continue to rigorously test Halo 5: Guardians to ensure the best possible experience for fans at launch."

One of the content included in the leak was the game's theme music. It came via an update of the "Halo 5" beta version which was released in December 2014. Although the beta is still unplayable, gamers can listen to the game's theme music.

"Halo" franchise development director Frank O'connor confirmed that majority of the games soundtrack was composed by Kazuma Jinnouchi whose previous works include providing soundtrack for the "Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots."

According to WinBeta, the leak also contain images of the game's extensive customization option which gives player the ability to customize their character's emblems down to its stance.

"Halo 5: Guardians" is set to be released as an Xbox One exclusive on Oct. 27. The game is developed by 343 Industries and will be published by Microsoft Studios.
