It is official that "Prison Break" is coming back with Wentworth Miller (Michael Scofield) and Dominic Purcell (Lincoln Burrows) confirmed to be among the cast. However, whether Sarah Wayne Callies will feature in the reboot still remains a rumor.

After a long time of speculation, a report from E! News indicates that Fox eventually announced that "Prison Break" limited sequel is in pipeline with Miller and Purcell cast as brothers Scofield and Burrows. Burrows said that he knew about the revival a long time ago.

"It is very exciting. It's in the works for a while now," Purcell said. "Wentworth and I were aware of it about three months ago, or actually way before that. And we're just stoked. We're very, very happy to come back. I know fans have wanted that and we have too."

The sequel only required Miller and Purcell to come together - this time round cast as villains on the CW's "The Flash" - to restart the trigger of curiosity in the renewal.

However, Purcell avoided leaking any information on how the reboot will look like.

In the interview, Purcell said, "I know that we're starting from where we left off on the show. I know that story but I can't tell you what it is. It's really exciting though. It will make sense for the fans."

Fans are eager to see whether Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) will feature in the revival. It remains unclear whether the much anticipated actress will return, even Sara Wayne Callies herself does not know for sure, TVLine reported. Featuring Wayne Callies in the show will imply that executive producer Jason Scheuring will have rewarded fans "Prison Break."
