Major League Soccer cellar-dwellers Chicago Fire (6-12-5, 23 points) and Colorado Rapids (5-9-9, 24 points) are scheduled to meet in a regular season game at the Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Illinois, August 22.

This would be the first meeting between the two teams since their scoreless draw last season at the Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Colorado.

The Rapids' last win against Chicago on the road was way back in 2004 when the Fire was still located at the Soldier Field, but they were undefeated in their previous four home games against the Men in Red with a win and three ties.

Chicago is coming off a 3-3 draw with fellow Eastern Conference straggler Philadelphia Union last Sunday at the PPL Park in Pennsylvania, as reported by NBC Sports' Pro Soccer Talk.

Striker Kennedy Igboananike provided two goals and also scored the winner that sent the game into a tie at the 92nd-minute.

Colorado is currently on a three-game losing streak, with their last one a 0-1 defeat in the hands of the San Jose Earthquakes at the Avaya Stadium in California, as per SB Nation.

Pablo Mastroeni's back four was not able to stop Quakes center back Clarence Goodson's header off an assist from forward Quincy Amarikwa for the winner.

The prediction is a 1-0 win for Chicago Fire. The Rapids are struggling mightily and would most probably miss the playoffs again this season.
