LG G4 Pro release on Oct. 1

As more evidences surfaced that LG will make one of the Google Nexus 2015 handsets on release date, the LG G4 Pro is increasingly becoming the center of attention. To many Android fans, the G4 Pro is the best candidate in LG's stable to become the vanilla Android flagship this year.

LG has already confirmed that it is indeed working on a super premium that likely will be the LG G4 Note or the LG G4 Pro. While the detailed specification of the super phones remain under wraps, a number of supposed handset features managed to leak out and most of them point to the G4 Pro as one mean Google Nexus 2015 flagship in the making.

Three of these key features are discussed below (six actually but the remaining half are considered for now as wildcard Nexus features):

5.5-inch QHD display

According to MND Daily, the G4 Pro is a phablet device that sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD panel. The screen size is just right and is a huge departure from the near 6-inch Motorola Nexus 6 of last year. Many say the oversized Nexus 6 panel was a big turn off to Android fans and the G4 Pro screen profile will attempt to correct that.

The LG G4 Pro using QHD display technology will make the device very capable when tussling with its 2015 flagship peers, ensuring that the phone is not behind or even ahead of its chief rivals.

Quad-core Snapdragon 820 with 4GB of RAM

Rumor has it that the LG G4 Pro will draw its power from Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 820 that recently was the subject of an AnTuTu benchmark testing. The 820 scored 85,000 plus that is considered as the highest mark so far, highlighting too the potential power packed with the rumored Nexus 2015 candidate.

As for the RAM provision, the G4 Pro is said to be fully compatible with 64-bit mobile computing standard so LG is likely to deploy the minimum that the device can handle - 4GB of RAM.

Killer camera combo

The camera system to unbox with the LG G4 Pro could prove as the best in 2015. On rear, the projection is between 21MP and 27MP that will allow the device to easily overwhelm the competition including the supercharged shooting phones Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.

For the front-facing camera, the minimum expectation is 8MP that makes the G4 Pro a powerful selfie tool.

The wildcards

The LG G4 Pro will rock three features that to date remain as wish list of many Android. It will have a removable back cover that users would love to have on the next Nexus so they can replace the battery anytime. A microSD slot will also be provided that will allow phone memory expansion and a stylus like the one found on the Galaxy Note 5. The latter adds another dimension to touchscreen input, also increasing potential for productivity.

Normally, the three features are not part of the Nexus signature but Google may just offer something new this 2015 like its supposed plan of producing two handset models - the Android 6 Marshmallow-powered LG Nexus 5 2015 and the Huawei Nexus 6 2015 - for this year's release date.
