The swirling rumor that the LG Nexus 5 2015 is the more affordable device on release date is gaining traction as the latest leaked specs indicate that compared to the Huawei Nexus 6 2015 the former will sell relatively cheaper. But as expected, there will be tradeoffs.

Phone Arena has unearthed from micro-blogging site Weibo the supposed key specifications of the LG Nexus 5 2015, the details essentially confirming the earlier reports that the smaller of the 2015 vanilla Android smartphones will rock an hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chip that spins at top speed of 1.8GHz. Included in the main engine package is up to 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and an Adreno 418 GPU.

The LG Nexus 5 part 2 will also sport a 5.2-inch screen, the same report said, in 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution with pixel density of 565 pixels per inch. The main camera will come equip with 13MP sensor, also laced with optical image stabilization and laser-focusing instrument, while the front-facing came is likely with a 5MP shooter as suggested in an earlier leak.

The rear camera, Phone Arena said, will feature an IMX 278 sensor supplied by Sony.

But while the leaked LG Nexus 5 2015 details were nothing short of impressive, the specs will be mostly overwhelmed not only by its Huawei sibling but also by other Android flagship, it appears that the device is headed for a directions that Nexus fans would surely applaud of - mid-range specs mean lower pricing.

Per BGR, "the new Nexus 5 could be even more affordable than we thought." And the assumption makes sense as Google might want to avoid the mistakes of Nexus 6 last year - overloaded, oversized and overpriced that many fans decided not to bite.

No specific price suggestion, however, was carried in the same report though there were speculations that for the next Nexus to click with the Android it should be priced no more than $500 for the premium model, which is the Huawei-made Nexus 6 2015.

For the LG Nexus 5 2015, the sticker should range between $350 and $400 with 32GB as the basic storage configuration.

The confirmation, however, will only come via the Google Nexus 2015 release date that is expected to happen simultaneously with the official Android 6.0 Marshmallow rollout, which is late September 2015.
