The new Dark One, Merida and King Arthur's knights are featured in the brief promo video of "Once Upon a Time" Season 5. The official Twitter account of "Once Upon a Time" has shared the "Good vs. Evil" promo video to tease the fans on the exciting events that will take place in the ABC series' upcoming new season.

The 30-second promo video on Twitter teases about the exciting new chapter in "Once Upon a Time" Season 5. The OUAT characters expected to make Sunday nights a television event include Merida (Amy Manson), King Arthur's knights and Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), the new Dark One, as the battle of good vs. evil continues in the new season.

OUAT character Snow White/Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin) declared before the promo video ended that she will not lose her daughter Emma to darkness. "Once Upon a Time" series creator and executive producer Adam Horowitz teased in TVLine's Fall Preview Q&A that Emma Swan will be a very motivated Dark One.

Horowitz further added that there is a real driving force behind Emma's actions as the new Dark One. In the finale episode of "Once Upon a Time" Season 4, Regina/Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) was supposed to be the new Dark One but Emma sacrificed herself and became the Dark One instead in order to protect and save her friend from becoming evil again.

Aside from seeing the new Dark One and Pixar's "Brave" character Merida in "Once Upon a Time" Season 5, PopSugar reports the other new characters that the OUAT fans will also meet in the new season of the ABC fairy tale drama series. With the "Good vs. Evil" promo video on Twitter teasing about Merida and King Arthur's knights joining forces, the viewers will get to know King Arthur (Liam Garrigan), Guinevere (Joana Metrass) and legendary wizard Merlin (Elliott Knight) in "Once Upon a Time" Season 5.

Sinqua Walls also returns as Lancelot in "Once Upon a Time" Season 5 after appearing in the show's second season through flashback scenes. "Once Upon a Time" Season 5 will premiere on Sunday night, Sept. 27, at 8/7c on ABC.
