After news broke out that Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa will have their much-awaited debut in the first-round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic on NXT, talks about other independent wrestlers jumping onto the WWE ship began making waves.

Not long ago, fans were happy about the company's decision to sign former CZW World Heavyweight Champion, Biff Busick, and high-flying dynamo, Rich Swann.

Busick has been working the independent circuit for almost a decade. He made the rounds from Combat Zone Wrestling, to Evolve, including several stints in the United Kingdom.

On the other hand, Swann is widely known as a regular fixture in the American independent scene. The 24-year-old wrestler once shared the Open the United Gate Championship with Johnny Gargano.

The two are expected to grace the NXT ring next month.

WWE has also been reportedly interested in a number of independent talents, including Drew Gulak and Chuck Taylor.

The Abington, Pennsylvania-native, Gulak, strutted his stuff with Beyond Wrestling and Combat Zone Wrestling - where he captured a World Heavyweight championship. He even had a rivalry with WWE Superstar, Dean Ambrose, at CZW.

Chuck Taylor is known by indy diehards as the guy who tapped Daniel Bryan out in a Chikara event to win the finals of 2009 King of Trios. Other than making the rounds in the independent circuit, Taylor serves as an assistant trainer at Mike Quackenbush's Wrestle Factory.

Furthermore, the WWE is planning to hire additional referees in the near future.

Surely, the WWE Universe will keep their eyes peeled for these up-and-coming superstars.
