Rapper T-Pain, who was the first person to accidentally break the news that "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson is engaged to British singer FKA twigs, has said in his recent interview that twigs was not mad at him for his goof up.
Talking to ET about his unintentional tongue slip that happened in June, T-Pain said that the remark was actually intended as a joke. He did not realise that the news of Pattinson and twigs' engagement was indeed true until the singer confessed to him and told him that their engagement was "a real thing."
The rapper however now laughs off the incident saying twigs was "not mad because she hadn't told me." The 29-year-old also jokes about the incident often but admits that it "got heavy coverage" in the media.
T-Pain accidentally revealed about the couple's engagement during his April interview with Vulture magazine. "And she's engaged now, so that's about to be a whole other thing. [Laughs.] Yeah, to ol' Patty [Robert Pattinson]. I don't know if she wanted anybody to know that," the rapper was quoted as saying to the magazine.
However, when news hit the media, T-Pain later backtracked saying that it was just an "April Fool's Day prank" that he played with his fans.
Pattinson's fiancee twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, too talked about the incident in her earlier interview with Complex magazine. "It's fine, I'm a pretty chill person, do you know what I mean?" she said.
There is speculation in the media that Pattinson and Twigs are planning to get married soon.
Prior to getting engaged to Twigs, Pattinson was in relationship with his "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart in2008. However, the two broke-up after Stewart allegedly cheated on Pattinson with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders.
