Liverpool is doing relatively well in the current 2015-2016 Premier League season with seven points in the overall team standings. They were unbeaten in their first three games for the season before bowing to West Ham United in week 4 before the break.
Brendan Rodgers lost his star midfielder, Raheem Sterling, to Manchester City during the summer, but he also made significant signings in Christian Benteke, Nathaniel Clyne, and Roberto Firmino to keep them competitive this year.
Below are two deadline day rumors from the Reds and find out if they are fact or fiction.
Defender Alberto Moreno on his way to Real Madrid: Rumors went out during deadline day that Rafa Benitez offered his former club an undisclosed amount to try and snatch his former ward from Anfield to the Bernabéu.
The 23-year-old left back have not started in any game for Rodgers yet this season, which leads to a lot of speculations that the club is ready to let him go.
However, recent reports indicated that Benitez himself backed out from his offer as he allegedly hesitated about signing Moreno. Verdict: Fiction.
Tiago Ilori Loaned to Aston Villa: Another up-and-coming 23-year-old Liverpool defender is reportedly sold on loan to Aston Villa before the summer transfer window closed.
Rodgers decided to temporarily let go of Ilori as they still have another youthful center back at their disposal, Mamadou Sakho, who was snagged in 2013 from Paris Saint-Germain for £18 million.
The Irish manager does not want to let go of Ilori either as an insurance for the future. But for now, the team can make money from him while there is still no spot in the loaded Liverpool backfield. Verdict: Fact.
