With the impending release of Rise of the Tomb Raider as a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, more fans are commenting that it should focus more on the 'tomb raiding' and puzzle-solving rather than the action-packed scenes.

The last iteration of the Tomb Raider has definitely been a success, selling 8.5 million copies as of April this year, PC Gamer reported.

In fact, the reboot Tomb Raider in 2013, is the best-selling game of the entire franchise, according to Crystal Dynamics. Previous reports also mentioned that the reboot actually help the franchise expand its market to gamers who love action and cut-scenes.

Unfortunately, for hardcore and loyal Tomb Raider fans, the game was considered to be more focused on the action and interactive gameplay rather than the actual tomb raiding, which should be the main course of any TR game.

According to a report by Movie Pilot, the most recent game that comes closest to the Tomb Raider of old is the Tomb Raider Go that is currently available for iOS and Android devices.

The game reportedly features a number of puzzles that make it reminiscent to the original. If only the developers would make the game equally action-packed and puzzling, then Rise of the Tomb Raider can exceed the performance of its predecessor.

Rise of the Tomb Raider will hit the Xbox 360 and Xbox One in November, while a PC version should come out early in 2016. PlayStation 4 console owners may need to wait until later next year for the release.
