"Dance Moms" season 5 star Kalani Hilliker recently hinted that the Lifetime reality TV show is not 100 percent authentic.

According to Realty Today, Hilliker said that some parts of "Dance Moms" are edited in such a way that they would look more dramatic and interesting for fans to watch.

In a recent episode of "Dance Moms" season 5, coach Abby Lee Miller was slammed by fans for not living up to her promise of giving Hilliker a chance to perform a solo dance number at Nationals.

At that time, Miller pitted Hilliker against her ALDC teammate Nia Frazer and said that whoever will win at the start of the competition will be given a solo at Nationals. After Hilliker won, Miller decided to give Frazer the chance to perform instead.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time that a "Dance Moms" cast member opened up about the show's authenticity.

Just recently, 12-year-old Maddie Ziegler said that the fights between the moms on the show are not real.

During an interview with USA Today, Ziegler said that the moms are asked to fight on the reality TV show, but this usually done to make the episodes more interesting.

After their onscreen fights, the moms laugh about their scenes and they hug each other.

"Dance Moms" season 6 has just been renewed by Lifetime. However, as of late, fans are still unsure which of their favorite cast members will be part of the show.

"Dance Moms" season 6 will premiere on Lifetime sometime next year.
