While the singer previously denied the reports to avoid possible leak, according to The Guardian, Sam Smith recorded the theme for "Spectre." Before his official announcement as the movie track singer, Andrew Jurd tweeted a close-up photo of Smith's hand wearing the ring with "Spectre" logo.

On the other hand, Sam Mendes, the film's director, already said in July that the fantastic theme song has already been recorded. Keira Heil added that she was happy for Smith doing "... the new Bond theme!!!" It is apparent that there are many people who would like for him to be one of the iconic "James Bond" theme song performers.

Sam Smith then follows a list of big artist names who lend their voices to the movie, including Madonna (Die Another Day), Shirley Bassey (Goldfinger), Garbage (The World Is Not Enough), Duran Duran (A View To A Kill), Chris Cornell (You Know My Name), Paul McCartney (Live And Let Die), Tom Jones (Thunderball), Alicia Keys (Another Way To Die), and Adele (Skyfall).

Currently, Smith is enjoying lately a growing popularity in the musical scene so he is apt to do the soundtrack.

Meanwhile, "Spectre" is going to hit the theaters on Oct. 26 in the United Kingdom and Nov. 6 in the United States.
