Some of the 2K16 player ratings are being leaked and even if it's not the actual ratings, valuable info is also being spread.

Fans are excited on who would get the highest ratings and real2k insider has spilled the beans on who would drop out of the esteemed 90+ club.

"2K announced that six players are rated in the 90s and 57 are rated in the 80s," the site stated.  "It's extremely likely that the top 6 remain the same while Paul slipped out.  LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden all rated 94-96 at the end of 2K15 which means it is likely that Chris Paul (90) is the player that slipped out of the 90s."

It is also notable that the player with (most likely) the highest rating which is LeBron James dropped 2 points to 94. The assumption is that he will have a domino effect on a general drop for most players at the top.

In a tweet by Mike Stauffer, one of the game's producers and the official in charge of the player ratings, has admitted that they are adopting a new philosophy in determining the ratings, which end result will make the ratings generally lower.

Bleacher Report summarized it best: "Essentially, all players are rated based on a scale that makes the greatest practitioners in each category the measuring stick, with all others following behind them. It's good to have a clear system in place with defined logic. With Michael Jordan as the overall standard bearer, and the game's only 99-rated player, it makes Durant's 91 all the more impressive."

Thus, it seems impossible that LeBron James would get another 98 and his 94 rating is justified even more. Great as King James is, he is still quite a ways to go before he can match His Airness at his peak.

This barometer also applies to skills. The example given in the tweet was offensive rebounding. Let's say Dennis Rodman is considered the greatest offensive rebounder of all time. He gets a 99. All other players offensive rebounding skill would be tested against Rodman's ability and the rating will be assigned on how the player stacks up.

Considering that, a 90 rating would be very high already.
