Last week, fans may recall how the UFC interim featherweight champion, Conor McGregor, poked fun at Urijah Faber's laidback, Northern California outfit by saying how "he (Faber) looks like a 15-year-old skateboarder."
The brash Irish also advised that Faber, "needs to dress his age."
Of course, not to be outdone, the ever-witty Faber pointed out his opposing coach's odd sense of style and its ill effects to certain articles of clothing.
"Let's be honest here, Conor shows up every day, to practice, to everything, in the Vegas desert, in the full get up," Faber claimed to MMAjunkie.com referring to McGregor's fascination with custom-tailored suits and expensive shoes to match.
He continued, "he's (McGregor) got armpit sweat coming out of here [motioning across the back], at one point he has an [expletive] crack full of sweaty [expletive], he rips his pants at one point."
In addition, Faber gave his two cents on McGregor's lifestyle choices by clearing the fine line between comfort and success.
"I'm like, 'bro, what's up with the outfit,'" he said. "He's like, 'I'm all business.' I'm like, 'dude, you're like the TapouT guy at the bar who thinks he's a fighter because he's wearing TapouT.' In the business world, Conor in a suit and tie is like the poser wearing TapouT."
As an esteemed businessman himself, The Team Alpha Male head even offered a piece of his mind with regard to handling finances in a separate interview with Yahoo Sports.
"Take the 16,000-square-foot rental down to an 8,000-foot rental," Faber stated. "Don't be rubbing it in other people's faces that you're acting like you got a ton of money yet. What you think is a ton of money, isn't a ton of money."
In the end, Faber still had some nice things to say to McGregor.
"He's going to learn a couple little lessons here and there," he said. "He's pretty smart, he's a decent guy."
Being part of a reality show, such as The Ultimate Fighter, entails every cast member to spend most - if not all - of their time around the production crew, with fellow contestants, and in McGregor's case, the harsh realities of a desert climate.
That's why this hostile banter - or in this case, fashion advice column - between coaches really has the makings of good TV.
