Palermo's Roberto Vitiello scored an own in the 23rd minute to help the newly-promoted club equalize the count in the first half after Rosanero's prized midfielder Oscar Hiljemark opened the scoring in the 6th.

Serbian forward Uroš Đurđević headed one to tie the count 12 minutes before full time to deny Carpi's chance on three points and improve their place in the overall standings.

Meanwhile, Viola notched its second win of the young season against Genoa during their last game, 1-0, at their home field of Stadio Artemio Franchi, as reported by SB Nation.

Senegalese forward Khouma Babacar scored a header at the hour mark to put Gigliati on top and their defense held on to secure the three points.

Paulo Sousa's squad is expected to dominate Fabrizio Castori's men in this matchup with Italian striker Giuseppe Rossi teaming up with Babacar up front.
