China is known as a manufacturing giant but with the 10-year national plan, Made in China 2025, the world's second-largest economy is ready to move up the value chain and turn itself into a world industrialized power.

1. Personal computers

In 2014, China has produced 286.2 million personal computers, which account for 90.6 percent of the world's total. The per capita production was 40 times the average of other parts of the world.

2. Air conditioners

China makes 109 billion air conditioners annually, accounting for 80 percent of the world's total number. Per capita production is 17 times the average of other parts of the world.

3. Energy-saving lamps

Some 4.3 billion energy-saving lamps are made in the country, which account for 80 percent of the global total, with each person producing 3.2 lamps annually--16 times the average of other parts of the world.

4. Solar cells

China's solar cells have an overall capacity of 21.8 million kW annually, 80 percent of the world total.

5. Mobile phones

About 70.6 percent of mobile phones are made in China, totaling 1.77 billion annually, with per capita phone production 10 times the average of other parts of the world.

6. Shoes

The number of shoes made in China reaches 12.6 billion annually, or 63 percent of the world's total. Its per capita production stands at 10 pairs, about eight times the average of other parts of the world.

7. Cement

1.8 billion tons of cement are produced by China annually, which account for 60 percent of the world's supply. The country's per capita production is more than six times the average of other parts of the world.

8. Pork

China contributes 49.8 percent of the total pork meat worldwide, hitting 1.5 million tons annually. That means that each person in China produces 40 kilograms of pork annually, six times the average of other parts of the world.

9. Coal

About 1.8 billion tons of coal (oil equivalent) are produced in China annually, taking up 48.2 percent of the world's total. Its per capita production is triple the average of other parts of the world.

10. Ships

About 766 million tons of vessels are built in China annually, accounting for 45.1 percent of the world's total and triple the average per 1,000 people in other parts of the world each year.
