In August, Miller posted an ad on the photo sharing app, asserting the show "is now casting competitive dancers and their moms for the hit series dance show." Similarly, earlier this week the dance coach an update on the audition on Instagram, and one of the stills showed her looking at eight dancers with their respective mothers standing behind them.

A different photo with the caption, "Endless amounts of talent in the room. Hard decision... Who will make it?" showed the studio filled with dancers. Several familiar faces were seen at the auditions such as, season 4 ensemble cast member Tea Adamson, ALDC Pittsburgh student Sarah Hunt, and season 5 guest star Brynn Rumfallo.

On Sept. 15, Tuesday, the owner of the show posted a picture of Hunt and Haley on Instagram. In the caption of the still were the words, "I've been treating #ALDC kids from the Burgh to the #lifestylesoftherichandfamous for many years." It is likely that the two will feature in season 6.

However, there is no word yet on whether Maddie Ziegler, Miller's star student, will return on the show for season 6 of not. According to Telegraph, the 13-year-old Ziegler said that she would like to try out something different apart from just being on a reality show, and that she would like to pursue an acting career.
