Since Valve has been postponing "Half-Life 3's" release, "The Last of Us" director asked Valve is they will give him license to develop the sequel for the series.

"Uncharted 4" director Neil Duckerman took to Twitter to express his interest in developing the game.

"Look, Valve, all I'm saying is you give us the Half Life license and we'll take care of the res," wrote Duckerman.

Apparently, the director is also a fan of the series and is just one of the eager gamers who are waiting for updates from Valve.

According to Gamepur, Valve's inability to provide any update on the sequel has been a "careless" move on their part.  Their silence has been "killing the fans of the franchise."

Though there were a couple or rumors about the development of the game, Valve is still closing their doors to the public.

In an interview with IGN back in 2004, Min Le, creator of "Counter Strike," slipped on a couple of information about the game.

"I don't think I can talk about that, to be honest, but I think it's kind of public knowledge, that people know that it is being worked on," Le said of the long-fabled Half-Life 3. "I guess I could say that I did see something that looked kinda like in the Half-Life universe. And I mean it wouldn't surprise anyone if I said they're doing it, they're working on it, yeah. So to go on a limb I'd say I did see some concept art for Half-Life 3."

Though Duckerman's tweet was meant to be a joke, fans are hopeful that this can happen in the future, in case Valve finally throws the towel for "Half Life 3."
