Prior to the start of training camp, NBA players and coaches begin fine tuning their bodies for the rigorous season ahead.

Some hit the weight room to bulk up, while others work on their diet to loose unwanted weight.

For the Sacramento Kings, it was a uniquely different method, as they took the mats of the famed Team Alpha Male gym for a private lesson with owner and UFC Bantamweight contender, Urijah Faber.

Led by the former WEC champ, the Kings worked on their punches and kicks as way to get in proper form before training camp.

In addition, the team got a taste of some hard mixed martial arts conditioning workouts from Faber.

The Ultimate Fighter 22's Team USA coach then posted some pictures and a video on Instagram of the brief - albeit fruitful - MMA session with the Kings.

Sacramento was led by their All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins, the recently acquired Seth Curry, a re-signed Eric Moreland, and former King Corliss Williamson.

Urijah Faber and the Sacramento Kings have a well-established relationship with each other, with the former UFC Bantamweight title contender offering conditioning training with a handful of players in the past years.

In 2010, the Kings even bestowed the Team Alpha Male owner with his own "Urijah Faber Day" following a successful run with the now-defunct World Extreme Cagefighting.

The Sacramento Kings will start their preseason campaign against the Portland Trail Blazers on October 5, while their first regular season game kicks off at the Sleep Train Arena on October 28 versus inter-division rivals the Los Angeles Clippers.

On the other hand, Urijah Faber is set to face a streaking Frankie Saenz at UFC 194 on December 12.
