A slugfest that involves the Apple iPhone 6S Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is nothing short of an epic phablet showdown. When the two collide, which will emerge unscathed and the clear winner?
Phablet shoppers only need to check out the listed specs and the early reviews that came out so far. Apparently, the original phablet from Samsung is breaking away from Apple's second attempt of a supersized phone.

YouTube gadget reviewer Marques Brownlee declared in a new clip that the Galaxy Note 5 is "the latest and greatest from Samsung," surpassing even the critically acclaimed Galaxy S6. The main reason is the beastly specs deployed with the giant smartphone.
Leading the pack is a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display in screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels with pixel density of 518ppi. The octa-core Exynos 7420 chip is generously paired with 4GB of RAM while the graphic is fired up by Mali-T760MP8.
Note 5 users will also be delighted with the camera package of 16MP rear shooter and 5MP front cam.
The iPhone 6S Plus is a monster in its own class with a 5.5-inch display profile that boasts of 1080p screen pixels with density of 401ppi. Under the hood, the power source is a dual-core A9 chip, fresh from the mint and humming in tandem with 2GB of RAM. The camera system is 12MP on the main and 5MP for the secondary.
Clearly, the Note 5 out-specs the iPhone 6S Plus from the banner to the secondary specifications.
Best display smartphone
There was a time Samsung would introduce superior display technology with its Galaxy flagships and they remain inferior to every new iPhone models to come out, thanks to Retina screen. Not the case anymore, Brownlee said, as the Note 5 has the advantage this time.
And the evidence is not only on the paper, where the Samsung phablet absolutely rules, as Brownlee said in his review that the Note 5 impresses beyond expectations. Arguably, it is the best display smartphone around, he added.
Enhanced S Pen functionalities
Unboxing with the 6S Plus is the unique 3D Touch display feature that is the gateway to layers of extra device functions depending on how the screen is pressed or tapped. This matched by the Note 5 productivity tool called S Pen stylus that according to Brownlee only gets better in every new version.
And the fifth iteration doesn't disappoint - the functionalities are widened that users can really take advantage of the added productivity plus the build and design become more solid and smarter than ever.
Best camera smartphone
The iPhone 6 Plus was declared smartphone camera king last year but Samsung quickly snatched the honors with the Galaxy S6. It appears that the Note 5 will steal the show this time.
But why is the Galaxy Note 5 the best camera smartphone now? For one, it can produce crisp image quality even in low-light setting and whatever the chosen mode, auto or manual, the Note 5 shooter will surely deliver, Brownlee said.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 not only trounces the iPhone 6S Plus but also the following top performers on the field - the LG G4 and the Moto X 2015.
