"Married at First Sight" may still be waiting for renewal for its third season but its spinoff series, "Married at First Sight: First Year" has been renewed for season 2. Couples from season 1 Jamie Otis, Doug Hehner and Cortney Hendrix and Jason Carrion has renewed their contracts as well.

According to the International Business Times, the couples were excited yet nervous when they heard about the renewal. Otis revealed that she and Hehner were having second thoughts about the series. They, however, decided to push through it, explaining that they are in a point in their relationship where they really need help.

The reality star explained that they are going through some "hard stuff' and they did not know who or where to turn to. She added that she is dreading the time when she will have to relive it all again.

Otis, however, shared that they are all excited to share their lives to the fans. She added that she cannot wait for the season premiere happening next month.

"Married at First Sight: First Year" will reportedly give fans a closer look into the lives of the couples. It was said that the couples will be "tackling home renovations, talking about future children and one of them will be reconnecting with a long lost relative."

Neph Rodriguez will also play a big part come season 2 as he will start dating after getting divorced.
