According to Christian Today, Haley, with the help of her parents, succeeded in stopping Andy from proposing to Beth (Laura Ashley Samuels). Fans may assume that the two will immediately start dating, however, it turns out that it will not work that way.

The synopsis for "Modern Family" season 7 episode 1, titled "Summer Lovin'" revealed that Haley and Andy will need some time to get their feelings in check.

In other news, the premiere will also focus on Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cam's (Eric Stonestreet) relationship. After he got fired, Mitch reportedly went through a half-life crisis.

Speaking to Bustle, Ferguson revealed that Mitch got a "little stir crazy." As he could not find a job as a lawyer, he reportedly tried to find a career in the arts. He, however, soon realized that there was no money in the field and picked up random jobs to help provide for Lily's Aubrey Anderson-Emmons' future.

Ferguson revealed that his character even tried to coach Lily's soccer team, even if he does not know anything about the sport, just to help their finances. Cam, however, will reportedly find a way to help his husband get his job back.

"Modern Family" season 7 premieres Sept. 23 on ABC. Watch the trailer for episode 1 below:
