Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos (2-0) are looking to continue their unbeaten run in the season as they face the struggling Detroit Lions (0-2) at the Ford Field in Detroit on Sunday.
Manning led the Broncos to a suspenseful 31-24 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs last Thursday with a three-touchdown game anchored on 26-of-45 passes for 256 yards, as per Heavy.
Denver survived the Chiefs 14-0 second quarter salvo to beat their opponents with a last-minute touchdown after Kansas City running back Jamaal Charles's fumble.
Meanwhile, the Lions can't seem to find their groove as they lost for the second time in as many games this season during last Sunday's match with the Vikings, 26-16, via Yahoo Sports.
Minnesota advanced to an early 17-10 lead in the first half then ballooned it to as much as 23-10 in the third quarter.
Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford managed to score a touchdown pass in the final period, but it was too late for Jim Caldwell's boys to stage a comeback.
With Detroit's current struggles, Denver, with its host of veteran players spearheaded by Manning, will surely take advantage to snatch a road win and their third straight to open the new season.
