Screen writer and producer Simon Kinberg, stated that next year's blockbuster release, "X-Men: Apocalypse," is going to be dramatic and emotional.

"It delivers on the dramatic story and emotion of the last two movies," The 42-year old said to Collider. He went on to say that the first two movies, "X-Men: First Class" and "X-Men: Days of Future Past", were the initial two movies in a trilogy that will be concluded with "X-Men: Apocalypse."

"X-Men: Apocalypse" will reportedly be a culmination of the chronicles of the four prime characters:  Professor X (James McAvoy) Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and (Mystique) Jennifer Lawrence. In the first two versions of the trilogy, the stories of these characters in 1962 and 1973 were shown. The final part will feature adventures from the year 1983.

Meanwhile, Lawrence who plays the character of Mystique, said in an interview that the 2016 release will be her final "X-Men" movie, MTV reported This came after Beast (Hoult) told E! News that this was the last movie in the series that he signed up for. However, he did not mention that he would not return. Also, it could be the last time director Brayn Singer works on this series, temporarily at least, with his revelations that he plans to direct "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea".

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is set to hit the theatres on May 27, 2016. The official plotline of the film has not been released. It is said to revolve around Oscar Isaac character Apocalypse.
