Middling squad Southampton (1-2-3, 6 points) is set to host mercurial team Swansea City (2-1-3, 9 points) at the St Mary's Stadium on September 26, Saturday as the 2015-2016 Premier League season continues.
The Saints are coming off a hard-fought 2-3 home loss to Manchester United last Sunday. Southampton striker Graziano Pellè had a double and scored the opening goal at the 13th-minute mark to give the visitors a scare in their home field.
However, the Old Trafford giants fought back behind the gutsy effort of new recruit Anthony Martial who had a brace at the 34th and 50th minutes.
Pellè's second goal came in four minutes before full time when United was already leading 3-1, as reported by SkySports.
Swansea had settled for a goalless draw with Everton in their match at the Liberty Stadium last Saturday.
French striker Bafétimbi Gomis almost scored for the Swans, but his shot on goal in the first half was wide off Tim Howard's back net, as per BBC Sport.
Everton's substitute forward Kevin Mirallas was sent off right at the 90th-minute to put Roberto Martínez's boys at one man down, but Swansea was unable to take advantage as injury time expired.
Team captain Ashley Williams led Garry Monk's defense to force the Toffees to a shutout.
The predicted result is a close 2-1 edge for Swansea City. Williams will again be the star on defense although the Saints will have a goal late in the second half.
