The new Apple TV was announced on Sept. 9 and is expected to hit the market in October. Prior to its official shipping date, a private company released a complete rundown of the device's internal components.

The full teardown report was published by iFixit. The teardown also include the new Siri Remote.

Reports claim that the Apple TV is relatively easy to pry apart. The set-top box is also modular which means that defective parts can be easily replaced instead of replacing the device as a whole. The Siri Remote is also relatively easy to be dissected since it is only sealed by adhesive.

According to iFixit, while the Apple TV and its Siri Remote can be easily torn apart, most of their major components are integrated into the motherboard which could lead to a costly fix if someone is trying to replace even just a single damaged part.

It appears that rumors are true that the Apple TV sports the same A8 chip found on the iPhone 6, in fact the set-top box sports a surprisingly large heatsink to keep the chip cool. It appears that the Apple TV along with the Siri Remote shares a lot with some of Apple's well-known devices.

The Siri Remote sports the same touchscreen controller found on the iPad Air and iPhone 5C. The Apple TV uses the same memory controller that is hauntingly familiar with the one installed in the 12-inch MacBook.

According to Apple Insider, the fourth generation Apple TV is expected to be released in October. The set-top box comes in two storage variants which also differs when it comes to price; a 32GB model for $149 and a 64GB model for $199.
