In the recently concluded Night of Champions pay-per-view, Seth Rollins retained his WWE World Heavyweight Championship by beating Sting.

After the match, reports surfaced that The Vigilante suffered career-threatening injuries and was instantly rushed to the hospital.

Sting felt tingling and numbness on both arms during and after the match - an ill-fated result from being on the receiving end of two Bucklebombs from the champ.

It was also during this main event that Steve Borden Sr., Sting's name in real life, realized something.

"After 30 years and working with some of the best and some of the greatest, [Rollins] is, I'm telling you, he's got to be the best I've ever worked with," he said.

It's rare for Borden - let along a wrestling legend - to break kayfabe (staged events in the wrestling world that are perceived as true) and praise to a young, up-and-coming superstar.

"I mean, the guy has it," Borden described Seth Rollins. "And I think he's just scratching the surface on what he will do. I've never seen somebody as talented."

Of course, like any other endeavor, talent can only take an individual to certain point, so Borden acknowledges the fact that Colby Lopez, Seth Rollins' real name, goes the extra mile and handles it like a true champion.

"He's working two [matches] on RAW, two [matches] on the pay-per-view, he's involved in every other segment and it's physical."

Borden shared: "There's a lot on his plate. He's carrying a lot, and he's handling it. He's proven he can do it."

The 56-year-old, Borden, even went as far as saying: "I'm just glad I had a chance to work with him. He's the kind of guy who could be in there with a broomstick and make something very interesting happen, a match that people would love somehow."

Amidst the tension and the worry, there was a brief, yet meaningful, encounter that Borden will probably remember for a long time.

"He (Lopez) poked his head in the ambulance and said, 'Man, I'm so sorry. I don't know what happened.' I said, 'Seth, don't worry about it. It's not your fault,'"

Borden added: "For 15 minutes, he said, 'I just wanted to tell you what an honor it was, what a pleasure. I can't believe I had a chance to get in the ring with you and work with you. I was you for Halloween when I was a kid.'"
