Andrew Garfield opens up about his struggles about being the perfect role model after starring in "The Amazing Spider-Man" with Emma Stone. The actor revealed that he has not always felt comfortable in front of the public, as well as seeing his face in front of multiple magazine covers.
Speaking to USA Today, Garfield shared that he has always been confused as to how he will present himself in front of the fans. He said that he has always struggled with connecting to fans on Twitter.
Garfield shared that this was very difficult given that he wanted them to see his latest movies.
"I want people to see work I do, that's important to me. Because that feels like the best representation of who I am."
The actor added that he has always had problems with being likeable. He said that, just like everybody else, he struggles with his "weirdness" and was worried that people will not accept him for who he truly is.
Contrary to what people see in front of the camera, Garfield revealed that he does not have everything figured out. He said that he gets panic attacks whenever he sees tabloids depicting him as a perfect human being.
In an interview with Zaki's Corner, Garfield also revealed that he has always been disappointed of his performance in "The Amazing Spider-Man." He said that he always thought he could do more, adding that what he gave was not enough. He explained that even if the character meant so much to him, he failed to give it more depth and soul than it deserved.
