A new set of leaked specs of the unannounced HP Envy 8 5000 surfaced online.

At the heart of the tablet is the Intel Atom Z8300, also known as Cherry Trail, which is a quad-core processor with a reported clock speed of 1.44GHz. The tablet will sport 2GB of internal memory and it will be released in two storage variants; 32GB and 64GB. Users demanding additional storage speed need not to worry since the tablet sports a microSD slot for storage expansion.

According to Window Central, the HP Envy 8 5000 has a 3950mAh battery pack which should be able to power the tablet for up to seven hours.

Additional peripherals include a 10-inch detachable keyboard and a stylus designed by Wacom. The tablet has an app that was developed exclusively for the stylus. It allows user to quickly access several features through a drop-down menu.

According to NeoWin, the HP Envy 8 5000 will have Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac connectivity and a support for 4G LTE networks. The tablet will also support microUSB 2.0 instead of the USB Type-C which is getting popular especially in top-tiered devices. Pricing for the tablet have yet to surface but many analysts predict that it should be around $150.

HP has yet to officially reveal the Envy 8 5000. However, the tablet was briefly shown during the Microsoft Computex keynote held in Taiwan in June.
