Marvel films and television shows would be difficult to crossover, according to Marvel Studios Head Kevin Feige.

In his interview with IGN to promote the home video release of "Avengers: Age of Ultron," Feige explained that the producers of the television shows were more agile to create things than they did, which was the reason why fans portions from the storylines of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron" in the small screen.

Timing was a crucial factor to take into account, according to Feige. He said that by the time a film project had started its production, the series would have worked on the middle of the season. He added that by the time the film had come out in theaters, the series would have started the third season.

Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." released a number of episodes relating to the Winter Soldier when the time "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" had been released and these provided fans some insights on how the organization was torn apart by Hydra, as per Cinema Blend. Fans also saw some features of the Age of Ultron story arc in the series' final season this year, according to the publication.

While Feige revealed that it was challenging for Marvel Studios to bring some elements from the small screen to the big screen, Marvel's head did recognize the excellent performance of the actors in Marvel's television series, specifically "Daredevil."

Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 3 Episode 2, which is entitled "Purpose in the Machine," is slated to be aired on the ABC Television Network on Oct. 6 while "Daredevil" is set to premiere on Netflix in 2016. Meanwhile, Whedon's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" hits the market on Blu-Ray and DVD on Oct. 2.
