In a battle of two unbeaten teams in Group G, Kuwait (3-0-0, 9 points) will play host to powerhouse squad South Korea (3-0-0, 9 points) at the Al Kuwait Sports Club Stadium in Kuwait City on October 8, Thursday for an AFC 2018 World Cup qualifiers game.

Both teams have convincingly defeated all the other three teams in their bracket as one is set to clinch the top spot of the group.

Kuwait blanked Laos, 2-0, in their game at the New Laos National Stadium on September 8 as strikers Yousef Nasser and Bader Al Mutawa provided the goals for Nabil Maâloul's side at the 31st and 84th-minute marks, via Daily Motion.

Al-Azraq has not given up any goals so far in the competitions and is considered a threat to the Tiger of Asia in their upcoming match.

Meanwhile, the Taegeuk Warriors have also not allowed any goals from their opponents in three matches.

Their last game was a 3-0 rout of Lebanon at the Saida International Stadium in Sidon also last September 8, as reported by Four Four Two.

Jang Hyun-soo opened the scoring with a penalty kick at the 22nd minute before Ali Hamam's own goal made it 2-0 at the 26th. Kwon Chang-hoon sealed it at the hour mark for the 3-goal blowout.

The predicted result is a tough 2-1 victory for South Korea against the hard-fighting Kuwaitis.
