The "Teen Mom 2" season 6 reunion special got so intense that Leah Messer ended up using her safe word, "monkey." In the sneak preview, Messer had a heated discussion with Corey Simms' new wife Miranda.

According to The Ashley's Reality Roundup, this is the first time that a reality star was allowed to use a safe word. The outlet explained that Messer was given the option given her fragile condition.

Messer just recently got out of rehab to attend therapy for her anxiety issues. Simms, however, claimed that it was because of his ex-wife's drug problem.

Leah's mom Dawn Spears was hesitant about allowing her daughter to attend the reunion special, thinking that it will be too stressful for her. Taking her case into consideration, the producers allowed Messer to shout a safe word whenever she felt that a topic was getting too intense.

The outlet reported that Messer ended up using her safe word but her co-stars chose to ignore her.

According to Wet Paint, Simms claimed that Messer has always been jealous of his relationship with Miranda. He added that the reality star cannot keep a husband for more than two years, which infuriated Messer. She then retaliated and hinted that she and Simms slept together even when they were both married.

Before things got way out of hand, Messer decided to use her safe word and shouted "monkey."Although Simms heard her use the safe word, he continues to push the topic until Spears yelled from the audience in her daughter's defense.
