Karrueche Tran recently slammed Chris Brown for destroying her career, and making her look bad in the eyes of her fans.
In an interview with BBC, Tran said that as much as possible, she wants to speak less of Brown, and more of her acting and modeling career.
The model said that she believes she's starting to make a name for herself these days without being associated with the singer.
"I feel like I shouldn't have to explain myself to anybody. Because this is my life and I can do whatever I want. But in the same breath, it's like, now that I am trying to focus on my career and get my stuff together, I have to clear up certain things," she said.
Meanwhile, Tran also expressed how offended she was every time someone would say that she's only successful because of her ex-boyfriend.
"A lot of people think I am a weak individual because of past situations and when it comes to business, sometimes people don't want to be involved with somebody like that, which is understandable but it sucks because I'm not a weak person. It's these people who sit behind their phones and just say mean things, just because."
Just recently, there were rumors that while Tran was at a London bar called DSTRKT, a group of people protested outside after they were allegedly rejected entry because of their weight and skin color.
However, Tran denied that she had anything to do with the protest, and clarified that she never supported anything like it.
