An employee of the Love Ranch, a brothel in Crystal, Nevada, discovered former NBA star Lamar Odom unconscious on Tuesday morning on the floor of a room after a night of party with women.
The New York Daily News reports that Odom took an herbal substitute for Viagra, said Dennis Hof, owner of Love Ranch. The brothel employee, when he rolled over the former basketball player, said fluid was coming out of Odom's mouth.
E! News reports that Odom was rushed to a local hospital where doctors intubated the 35-year-old former athlete. He was airlifted to a Las Vegas hospital where Odom is undergoing treatment. Latest news said that he remains unconscious and the doctor's prognosis does not look good.
But Hof says it is not clear if the herbal substitute caused Odom's condition. He adds it was the first time he saw Odom, the former husband of Khloe Kardashian, at the brothel. Hof also owns the Moonlite Bunny Ranch near Carson City. That brothel was featured on "Cathouse," and HBO show.
Odom used to play for the Lakers and Heat. He retired from professional basketball amid rumors of drug use. In 2013, he was arrested on suspicion of driving under influence. Less than a week after the incident, he entered a treatment facility near Los Angeles, but Odom left the facility less than 24 hours later.
Odom and Khloe were married for four years. She filed for divorce on Dec. 13, 2013, due to irreconcilable differences. The reality star insists that she still loves Odom. "I was so obsessed with him in a healthy way. He was my husband, and I still wish he was, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that," E! News quotes Khloe.
