Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus launched its OnePlus 2 smartphone back in August, and is now preparing to unveil a new handset, dubbed the OnePlus X, at an event in London on Oct. 29.

The Chinese company recently released a teaser image for the upcoming event via Twitter. The teaser doesn't show much; except for the letter "X" in the center and the words "See you October 29".

In addition, the teaser came after a mysterious unannounced OnePlus smartphone, with the model E1005, was spotted earlier this week, in filings with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), The Verge reported.

Specs-wise, the OnePlus X is confirmed to sport a 4.99-inch OLED display screen with a 1080x1920 pixel resolution (441ppi), according to China's TENAA. The phone will have a 13 mega pixel camera on the back and an 8 mega pixel shooter on the front. It will measure about 6.9mm in thickness and weighs about 138 grams, according to Phone Arena.

Under the hood, the OnePlus X is anticipated to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor that comes with a 2.0GHz per core CPU. It will come with 3GB of RAM and up to 16GB of built-in memory storage. In addition, the OnePlus X is expected to run on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop version operating system along with the customized Oxygen UI on top.

In the meantime, OnePlus announced earlier this week its plans to begin manufacturing devices with Foxconn in India, before the end of this year. The move is also expected to generate more than 1000 full-time jobs.
