The October 24 ClashCon has sparked wave of rumored updates for the hugely popular Clash of Clans and one that seems to be gaining traction is the introduction of Nighttime Mode, likely to be packaged with Supercell's Halloween upgrade plans.

Nighttime mode, according to Product Reviews, will significantly alter the texture of the COC gaming setting, likely morphing into a GTA 5-like environment when its creator, Rockstar, introduced snow into the mayhem.

The immediate effect, The BitBag said, is certainly more of interesting play as the blog report outlined three possible enhancements that will treat COC fanatics to hours of engaging game.

Stunning visuals

The combo of Halloween and Nighttime mode represents a huge departure from the usual Daytime Clash of Clans gameplay - in the same way that a city when darkness falls becomes more vibrant with lights coming into play, sparkling and injecting life to the whole setting.

The menu of visual aesthetics should include glimmering gems, illuminated torches and a wizard tower that burns with purple brightness, The BitBag said, pointing to a YouTube clip as reference for the lively COC after dark.

Increased skirmish difficulty

And as in any battle, nighttime affords advantages and disadvantages in a gameplay. For the raiders, the cloak of darkness might be a big plus but will also mean additional efforts in staging successful attacks, the report said.

For the village defenders, the blanket of darkness seems make it harder to detect incursions but the illumination make for improved over-watch - affording them the luxury of early detection even before an aggressor can inflict damage.

Real time mode setting

The BitBag also suggested the possibility of Supercell introducing a toggle switch that will permit users to turn on and off the Nighttime Mode. Or better yet, a dynamic time mode that will adjust relative to a gamer's actual time of the day or night, which the report said will surely boost the feeling of immersion.

Now the question is, will Supercell take heed and bundle Nighttime Mode to its rumored Clash of Clans updates - like Town Hall and Level 8 Barbarians - that likely will be unloaded come the ClashCon event next week?
