After "Halo 5: Guardian's Gold Master" turned out successful, 343 Industries announced that a major upgrade for the "Master Chief Collection" is eminent and inevitable.

On top of the list for the upcoming patch are new punishments for idlers, betrayers, and quitters. 343 Industries plans to unleash the patch this weekend, and therefore, the studio shared what fans should anticipate for the game updates.

343 Industries hopes to unveil another playlist update after rolling out the update for the game. The playlist update will bring many things including more capture the flag and more modes that begin with battle rifles, according to Tech Times.

The video game developer wrote in Halo Waypoint"The playlist team continues to tune existing experiences as well as create new ones, including Halo: CE 4v4, which will be the next rotational playlist after InfectionHead to Head, and more."

As fans wait for the patch on the game, here is an outline of what the "Master Chief Collection" patch will fix when the game comes on Xbox One console:

  • Quit and rank punishments for exiting anytime after matchmaking voting commences in both ranked and unranked playlists
  • "Halo: Combat Evolved" got matchmaking betrayal upgrade
  • Matchmaking voting chooses a random winner
  • Advanced ranking calculation
  • Patched a problem that could result into down-ranking
  • Patching emblems and clan tags is match search
  • Patched team colors for Forge mode
  • Music lowers the moment gamers connect in lobbies
  • Fixed a problem whereby the menu music could cut out after a game or at startup
  • H1 Boxer's leverage scheme now matches the in-game control structure
  • Enhanced UI launch settings for "Halo: CE" and "Halo 2 Campaign"
  • Better matchmaking messaging between gamers
  • Patched a problem where the lobby player positions could change after promotion to party leader
