"Frozen" movie, which was released in 2013, received success that is still evident today. It seems like the Frozen Fever is never going down, especially with the recent announcement of a sequel to the musical fantasy film.

"Frozen" sequel's official announcement in March did not come as a surprise to many, although some details regarding the upcoming release were left unconfirmed. Fortunately, director Chris Buck granted the eager fans a tiny glimpse of their latest movie project.

"Frozen" director Buck has revealed that in the upcoming film, fans can expect to see a completely different side of Queen Elsa. In August, he explained to Fandango that in "Frozen," Queen Elsa had "such a dramatic journey, and at the end, she's just starting to feel like she can open up and have some fun again."

"That's what was really good about 'Frozen Fever,'" Buck added. "We could have fun with Elsa. And that personality. You will see in the next one."

Buck also mentioned in another interview with MTV News in August that "Frozen 2" will deal with present societal issues. The director did not exactly say which issues will be featured in the movie, but his statement seemed to support the rumors surrounding the film, which suggests that Queen Elsa would be coming out as a lesbian.

"We have two very strong female leads in 'Frozen,'" Buck said. "We will keep that going in the next one. We will tackle other issues that, I think, are out there today that boys and girls, men and women, are dealing with. I think we're very aware of what is happening in society."

"Frozen 2" has no official announcement for a targeted release date, but rumors are saying that it will premiere in 2018.
