As promised, HTC is set to wrap off its new device powered by Android on Oct. 20, Tuesday.

Nevertheless, the company has not come up with any updates to its devices, which everyone is expected; however, according to Android Police, the company has declared the release of a new app on Google PlayStore that will be suited only with the upcoming HTC Marshmallow (Android 6) phones, which doesn't even implemented in current HTC phones. According to the news, the new app is available in PlayStore in advance for the new phone, which is presumed to be HTC One A9 Aero.

The app is unusual than we think, as it looks like the replica of Googles own phone restore/import feature introduced with the Android Lollipop version, but the new one is limited to HTC new devices only.

The new app is somewhat powerful with the features embedded to restore passwords, bookmarks, text messages and as well as the custom dictionary. While the AOSP andriod version allows redownloading the apps from the PlayStore and reinstalls some of the settings from your account, the new app of HTC looks much similar to some of the transfer apps available in Samsung, Apple and Motorola.

The app is only available to used with the HTC back up service only - in short, it is useless if you are not using an HTC set. Hope the app will be featured in the new phones and other newer versions. As the reviews say, it may force other apps to target Android 6 API soon.
