Chinese company Meizu Technology Co., Ltd. recently unveiled its first budget smartphone, the Meizu Blue Charm Metal, which is expected to be available initially in the Chinese market, as of this time.

The Meizu Blue Charm Metal is made of aluminum, and runs on the Yun OS operating system developed by Chinese giant Alibaba. In addition, the operating system is also accompanied by the latest Flyme 5.0 skin on top.

Specs-wise, the Meizu Blue Charm Metal sports a 5.5-inch LTPS LCD curved display screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. The phone comes with a 5 megapixel camera on the front with an f/2.0 lens, and a sharp 13 megapixel rear-facing camera with an f/2.2 lens.

Under the hood, the Meizu Blue Charm packs MediaTek's most powerful Helio X10 64bit octa-core processor, according to Phone Arena, along with 2GB of RAM, up to 16GB/32GB built-in memory storage, and a large 3,140 mAh battery.

The internal memory can be expanded up to a 128GB space via microSD card. In addition, the new affordable smartphone comes with a home button that acts as a fingerprint sensor as well, according to Android Headlines.

The Meizu Blue Charm Metal will be available in white, grey, pink, blue and gold colors. It is expected to be available for pre-orders on Nov. 2. with a price tag of $170 for the 16GB variant and about $205 for the 32GB variant.

Another handset, which is also expected to go on sale by next month, is the Meizu Pro 5 phablet. This phone sports a 5.7-inch AMOLED screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution, and packs an Exynos 7420 processor, running on the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
