WWE Hell In A Cell Preview: John Cena To Take Time Off?
Rumors have been circulating in recent weeks in regards to John Cena taking time off from the WWE tour. Possible reasons such as just simply wanting a break from such a grueling schedule could be the main reason for this.
To be fair Cena has been very busy, I mean for the past 10 years it feels like the C-Nation leader has been keeping the brand going, Cena's merchandise is the best-selling merchandise out of all the wrestlers at the moment.
So if that was to be true, and it looks increasingly likely it will be, then that would leave the future of the US title in doubt. Those fears could be aligned though however as Tyler Breeze is said to be making his debut in tonight's SmackDown and the fact that it has been announced the John Cena open challenge will be going to Hell In A Cell.
Breeze who has been making progress in the NXT division is seen as someone who could have a good future in the company. If such rumors are to be believed of Breeze to beat Cena, then yes absolutely there is something in this story.
Just look at Kevin Owens for example, Owens' character has gone from strength to strength since beating Cena. If Breeze does the same then it will help his character blossom. Other wrestlers who could take Cena's challenge could be Dolph Ziggler, but I don't think WWE would do this as Ziggler did take up the challenge on RAW.
I would have loved Ziggler to have had the chance of a US open challenge, just so it could boost the 'Show Off's' character. As is the case with WWE of late, I think a chance will be missed here.
