Star Henry Cavill had a lot to say in Total Film via Coming Soon concerning the prologue of the film.

Cavill said, "What happens there is one of Bruce's buildings gets destroyed and he's trying to save all the people inside the building and he can't."

As a result, Wayne is this upset individual who fears what Superman might end up doing. He wonders why they are going to trust the super-powered alien who may decide to turn against them.

Ben Affleck as well dished on Batman's rage towards Clark Kent, saying, "He's found himself in a place of harboring a tremendous amount of rage for Superman. So it's how he got there, and what that's done to him, and what that's done to people around him like Alfred, who are, I think, very scared and worried for him. It's something that's interesting and new."

According to Tech Times, it turns out that Batman was attempting to save all those that Superman had no interest to rescue. Man of Steel faced much criticism from comic fans based on the way director Zack Snyder depicted Superman as careless and unwilling to take an extra move to save the vulnerable. As such, it is nice for the problem to be addressed in "Batman vs. Superman."

Superman's actions have consequences, and that consequence is a power-suit equipped Batman that is not ready to allow Man of Steel cause more harm to Earth.
