Warner Bros. Games announced the return of "Batman: Arkham Knight" to PC.
The digital game store for Windows, Mac and Linux Steam also confirmed the title will be available for PC this coming Oct. 28. It includes a patch of all of the latest content, aside from console exclusives, will be launched as well. The patch content comprises a Photo mode, Big Head mode, an Arkham Asylum Skin for Batters, and a choice of characters for the game's combat AR challenges.
"Batman: Arkham Knight" faced a troubled PC launch earlier this year, forcing Warner Bros. to pull the game from sale. It took several months, but it looks like Warner Bros. finally found the remedy for the game's performance problems in time for its return, IGN reported.
The case of "Arkham Knight" was quite exceptional to some extent. Games that ship with bugs, whether on PC or consoles, are not exactly rare but seldom are they so egregious that the game becomes all but unplayable as was the case here. Gamer tempers flared all the more when word got out that Warner Bros. may have been fully aware of the problems yet decided to still launch the PC version together with the console ones.
On the other hand, they rolled out minor fixes that did not exactly close the most glaring issues. "Batman: Arkham Knight's" re-launch for PC will get the base game itself and all the DLCs made available since its launch. Season Pass holders can have an access as well to all the content, including the three Crime Fighter Challenge Packs and the Batmobile race tracks, according to Slash Gear.
Despite the games issues on PC, it did incredibly well commercially, selling over five million copies worldwide.
