Spoby fans may be disappointed to know that Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Toby (Keegan Allen) may not be a couple when "Pretty Little Liars" season 6B premieres. Multiple reports suggest that the couple has drifted apart after the five-year jump.
In an interview with People, Bellisario revealed that things are "very different" between Spencer and Toby in the coming episodes. When the series returns, her character would have graduated from Georgetown University starting a career in politics while Toby is still with the police force in Rosewood.
Bellisario explained that over the years, their relationship may have taken a hit because of the distance between them. Based on her statement, some fans were quick to assume that things just did not work out. It was said that Spencer may be too busy with school and Toby with his new career. Bellisario, however, hinted that she also met someone from her past which will be a "very important storyline."
"PLL" showrunner Marlene King recently shared a TBT photo of Bellisario and Allen "sleuthing," which is said to be part of the premiere episode. Although, the actress refused to reveal further details on what their reunion felt like, she shared that there will be a fun Spoby scene coming up which fans should not miss.
King, on the other hand, recently shared that there will be lots of romance in season 6B. She shared that they are already editing the season finale and it reminded her of the early seasons.
