Jose Mourinho and the Blues were upended by contending squad West Ham United, 2-1, in their match at the Upton Park last Saturday to add to their miserable season, as per The Guardian.

Defender Gary Cahill was able to equalize the count, 1-1, at the 56th minute after Irons striker Mauro Zárate opened the scoring at the 17th minute.

The Pensioners' Serbian midfielder, Nemanja Matić, was sent off one minute before halftime, which led to West Ham striker Andy Carroll's winner at the 79th.

Meanwhile, the first two games of new manager Jürgen Klopp for the Reds in the English top flight have both ended in deadlocks with the last one a 1-1 tie with Southampton at the Anfield last Sunday, as reported by BBC Sport.

Liverpool's forgotten forward Christian Benteke scored the first goal in the match at the 77th minute, but Saints winger Sadio Mané leveled the score at the 86th before leaving the game with a red card in injury time for an unsportsmanlike tackle.

The predicted result is a 1-0 win for Liverpool over Chelsea. Klopp is set to win his first game in charge of the Reds against Mourinho's reeling squad.
