For five consecutive months, the PlayStation 4 has taken the lead in the gaming console war against Xbox One, which makes it more likely to be on the top this coming holiday season.

Sony is determined to take the lead with their recent PlayStation 4 price drop. Gamers can now get a console bundle for as low as $349.99 or $499 CAD. These do not exclude the "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake" Collection. This is effective since Oct. 9.

Dropping the price is one of their ways to thank all the fans for making the PlayStation 4 the most-sought after, best-selling console and the number one in softwares sales in September, Sony reported. The game console got the top place for "NBA sk16," "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," "Madden NFL 16," as well as "FIFA 16." Apart from that, PS4 has taken the lead with regard to the retails sale for "Destiny: The Taken King," which is undoubtedly one of the most successful limited console bundle Sony has ever released.

Meanwhile, there are some reports about Walmart's plan to host an exclusive Xbox One bundle deal, which seems to be just the same with that of the PS4's. This would include the console priced at $349. "Batman Arkham Knight", "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare," "The Elder Scrolls Online," "Forza Horizon 2," "Batman Arkham Knight," and "Forza 6" are just some of the titles that will be included, Gotta Be Mobile reported.

According to Mike Nichols, Microsoft's corporate VP of marketing, Xbox One fans will definitely enjoy the greatest games lineup in the Xbox history. So Xbox owners and soon to be owners have something to look forward to this upcoming holiday season.
