Jordan Smith gave justice to Adele's 'Set Fire to the Rain' song and won the Knockout Rounds against Viktor Kiraly on NBC's The Voice, Monday night. This performance has elevated his status from being just the 21 year old The Voice contestant from Harlan Kentucky to the top contender who "can win this entire competition, no doubt" according to his coach, Adam Levine.

Jordan's performance showed a vocal range similar to that of Adam Lambert of American Idol and earned him another standing ovation from the coaches and the audience. Shortly after picking him over Viktor to move on to The Live Playoffs, Adam says, "Jordan commands your attention so much to the point where you're completely just swept away by what he does, it's really special."

In a report, Jordan was said to have come home Monday night and watched the pre-recorded performance together with his family and friends at his former High School in Harlan County, Kentucky.

The Live Playoffs start November 8 and Jordan's fate lies in the hands of either the viewers voting or his coach. Like what happened with the previous seasons, the top 2 contestants with the most number of votes based on viewer voting per team will move on and each of the coaches get to pick one to represent  their team as part of the Top 12.

Viktor Kiraly's interpretation of 'If I ain't got you' by Alicia Keys may not have earned him Adam's vote but he will still move on to the next round thanks to Gwen Stefani for stealing him from team Adam.
