Southampton FC (3-2-5, 14 points) will try to further climb up the league table as it clashes with last season's The Championship winners AFC Bournemouth (2-6-2, 8 points) at the St. Mary's Stadium this Sunday, November 1st, for a 2015-2016 Premier League battle.

Prior to that, they had beaten Swansea City and defending champions Chelsea to find themselves at the no. 8 spot in the overall standings after 10 week of competition.

Southampton's last match was a 1-1 tie with the Reds at the Anfield last Sunday as Liverpool's Christian Benteke finally scored one for new manager Jürgen Klopp, via BBC Sport.

Saints midfielder Sadio Mané saved the point for Ronald Koeman's squad by equalizing the game at the 86th minute, but he was sent off during injury time after he was booked a second yellow for excessive tackling.

Meanwhile, the newly-promoted Cherries were routed by the Tottenham Hotspur, 1-5, at the Vitality Stadium also last Sunday for their sixth loss in ten outings, as per SkySports.

Spurs striker Harry Kane completed a hat trick while his teammates Mousa Dembélé and Érik Lamela both scored early on the way to the decisive win.

Boscombe midfielder Matt Ritchie actually started the scoring at the very first minute of the match to give the early 1-0 lead to Bournemouth, but Kane immediately answered at the 9th and it all went downhill for the Cherries since them.

Koeman and his squad may miss Mané in this meeting with Eddie Howe's crew, but they are still the odds-on favorite to win the match.

The predicted result is a close 2-1 win for Southampton over Bournemouth.
